American Weathermakers Proud
We are celebrating a remarkable milestone in the history of American
Weathermakers Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, honoring our 75th Anniversary
in business. We owe it all to our customers!
Let's take a journey back 75 years when our incredible story began. Founder Bill
Hochschild, a Mechanical Engineer and a Veteran of World War II, established the
company in Evanston, Illinois, February 1, 1949. Being the first Carrier Air
Conditioning Dealer in the Chicagoland area he recognized the need for comfort in
homes, stores, and commercial buildings when air conditioning was still a new concept.
Now we celebrate 75 years of excellence, dedication, and commitment to our
customers. Dick Hochschild, Bill's son, has been at the helm of American Weathermakers for the last 50 years after serving in
the U.S. Army and completing his Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Illinois and his MBA from Indiana University,
From a humble five-person team, American Weathermakers has flourished into a
thriving enterprise with over 75 highly skilled employees, the majority of who
have been with the company for over 25 years. American Weathermakers has a
large fleet of more than 50 service vehicles, to ensure that your home will be
serviced without any delay.
Today, our company is employee owned, and our future is very bright. Our core values have gotten us here, dedicated to your comfort, honesty, and integrity so we can maintain our motto:
"We Won't Be Comfortable Until You Are!"
With our rich company history, impeccable reputation, and a team of dedicated
professionals, American Weathermakers is ready to serve with
exceptional quality and customer service that has defined us for 75
remarkable years.
