Easy Halloween Recipe

Milano cookies decorated like ghosts
|

These adorable Mummy Milano Cookies are sure to be your favorite part of Halloween this year. They’re dunked in (and drizzled with) white chocolate to create cute versions of the notorious Halloween monster. The double chocolate Milanos pair perfectly with the sweeter white chocolate coating. You can make this dessert recipe for all of your fall parties. Even if you’re running late, you can still throw together this easy party dessert. This is also a great, kid-friendly recipe to make with your family to get everyone excited for Halloween.

Four Easy Ingredients

Milano cookies: Pick your favorite flavor; Double dark chocolate. Maybe white chocolate coating… You could make your own if you are feeling ambitious.

White chocolate chips: Use high-quality white chocolate chips, or a white chocolate baking bar.

Vegetable oil: Oil helps to thin the white chocolate helping it adhere smoothly to Mummy Cookies. A little goes a long way! Coconut oil, canola oil or vegetable shortening are good substitutes.

Black pearl sprinkles: These can be hard to find. They are often available at craft/hobby stores, baking/decorating specialty stores, or online.

Easy Instructions

Freeze the Milano cookies while you melt the chocolate.

Melt the white chocolate. Try vegetable oil to thin the chocolate. It helps adhere to the cookies better.

Decorate. Working quickly (white chocolate hardens fast!), hold the Milano cookies over the white chocolate and spoon the chocolate over the top 2/3 of the cookie. Place chocolate-coated cookies back onto the baking sheet.

Drizzle. Once all the cookies are coated in white chocolate, use the remaining chocolate to drizzle mummy bandages over the cookies.

Add eye sprinkles. Before the chocolate has a chance to harden, press two pearl sprinkles into the cookie to create mummy eyes.

Let the cookies harden at room temperature and then enjoy! I usually refrigerate the cookies– they are so good straight out of the fridge!
